Hours of Operation:
Currently, during daytime hours, we are out of the office, at a client's site.  WE ARE STILL OPEN FOR BUSINESS, THOUGH!!  All telephone and e-mail messages will be answered, when we return to the office, each evening or early the next morning.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

"Come on in" and enjoy the incredible talents of our truly fine vendors.  We are proud to represent them.  Their talents and ideas shine brightly through the products we offer.  More vendors are being selected to include their products here so check back often.

Vendors/Artisans/Craftsmen:
At present, we feel that we are carrying too many products (for each vendor) and that some of our product categories have too many similar vendors.  It has been recommended by our vendors and our customers that we 'thin out' our product line and provide no duplication of products, if possible.

In the not too distant future, we are hoping to add a 'shopping cart' functionality to our site.  The task to convert our site into a 'shopping cart' type site will be monumental.  If we can thin the product line out before hand, this task will be reduced considerably.

If we turn you down as a vendor for our site, this is by no means a reflection of the quality of your products.  We review our product line frequently and try to keep up with current trends. We will keep your items in mind and we will contact you if we would like to include your products in the future.

If you are interested in becoming a vendor and having your products displayed on CanadianMoose.com, please contact us.  Just send a short description of what products you want to display.  We will get back to you with an e-mail address to which you can then send us pictures of your products.  PLEASE do not send us multiple pictures of your product until we request them from you.  Our 'in-box' for e-mail messages will overflow (and not accept further messages) if too many pictures/files are sent without someone being here to accept them right away.

Once we've talked further and mutually agreed on having you become a vendor, we would need more details and photos.  Please see our 'Vendor Details' (below) to find out what further information would be needed from you.

Please note: At present, we have chosen to stay with products that are 'made-in-Canada' only.  Also, to save costs, we will work with vendors closest to Calgary, Alberta, Canada, where possible.  Having to add a second shipping cost (from the vendor (you) to us) onto our retail prices usually means the products are now priced too high to be competitive.  Local vendors mean easy access to product and reduced shipping costs.

Vendor Details

This is how we work: we post photos and details of your products on our site.  When our customers order these items, we purchase the items from you (called 'just-in-time' inventory).  We do not have the resources to sit on a large inventory of items that may or may not sell so we only approach you (for product) when we have pre-sold the items.  You are paid up front for your product - you do not 'front' us any product and we do not take product on 'consignment'.  Your money is in your pocket before we take possession of the product.

We make marketing your product simple: you don't have to!  We do!  We will even build you your own 'Vendor' page on our site (NO CHARGE TO YOU!) so our customers can see the real people/companies who provide our authentic products.

These are the details we will need from you, to have your products displayed here at CanadianMoose.com:

For each product, provide us with:
    - item/sku numbers (eg. FC-53), details, and descriptions
    - dimensions: weight, length, width, depth, diameter, ...
    - pictures (either e-mail a version OR mail us photographs and we will scan them in here and then return the photos to you)
    - your wholesale prices (what you will charge CanadianMoose.com) and suggested retail prices (what CanadianMoose.com could charge the retail customers)
    - if we do end up selling your products, it is required to have a removable 'Made In Canada' sticker on each product.  Getting product into the USA is becoming harder and harder and more stringent rules are being made.  We ask that you put this sticker into place (at time of manufacture).  Check with your local 'shipping supply' company for these stickers.

For food products, issues that have to be thought of are: how well does your product ship (does heat, humidity, dryness affect the product)?  Are their any shipping restrictions: chemicals, banned fruits, etc.?  Are there any allergic reactions issues (peanuts, nuts, etc.)?  Are there any labeling regulations?

For your company, provide us with:
    - company logo (if you want it displayed on our site)
    - biography: e.g. "started in 199?, as a hobby, . . ."
    - picture of yourself to accompany the biography (building your product or just a regular picture) - this is not mandatory but allows the customers to get a better 'feel' for the authenticity of the product they are purchasing
    - what lead time you need in order to produce the products?
    - do you have a minimum order amount ($) that we must meet?
    - will you 'drop ship' (ship directly to CanadianMoose.com customers instead of shipping to CanadianMoose.com)?
    - 'payment to you' requirements: cheques, credit card, etc.

    - do you have your own website?
        - do you retail (vs. wholesale only or use as an info site only) your product there?
        - does your website name appear on your product labels?

    - any other company details that might be pertinent

Please get us your website address (if one exists) or where your products are already being shown on the web, your shipping address with postal code, any relative telephone numbers (work/home) or fax numbers (work/home), e-mail address (work/home), etc.

A summary of why should you let CanadianMoose.com retail your creations on the Internet?
1. There is no cost to you.  There are no "up-front fees", no "set-up fees", no "monthly fees".  All we need are photos and dimensions of your products.

2. We already have built the web site so you don't have to.  Computer "know-how" is our worry, not yours.

3. Is more advertising a bad thing?  You already advertise your products on a web site.  There, customers may find specific products only.  Because of the variety on our site, customers also come in looking for specific creations (like moose mugs) but end up leaving with other products (yours), as well.  We call this "cross-shopping".

4. You deal with us and we deal with the retail customer.  Your time is better spent producing your wonderful creations than standing in line at the post office or stocking "craft show" booths.

5. Our market reach (the Internet) is tremendous and growing!  Let it work for you!!

If there is still more information you need from us about displaying your products here, please contact us.  We will get you the information you need.

Note: To simplify terminology on this site, we will refer to all Artisans, Craftsmen, and Vendors as 'Vendors'.  We will refer to all art, artworks, creations, items, pieces, works, and products as 'products'.  This simplification is, by no means, meant to belittle the talent levels of those displaying their work here.  It just allows us a cleaner way of describing our content.  Thank-you for your understanding.
