Domain Names
What is a domain name? A domain name (web name, URL - 'uniform/universal resource locator') lets people (and the computers they use) know how to find your web site 'home page' on the Internet. Each domain name is assigned to a numerical IP (Internet Protocol) address by your web site host provider (who provides storage space for your web site).
Here are the 'original' TLDs ('Top-level' domains) (some have been approved by ICANN - Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers)
.com = commercial
.org = non-profit organization
.edu = educational institution
.net = networks
.mil = military
.gov = government
(now there are many TLDs: click here)
For TLDs by a specific country (in 'country' order), click here.
If you want to look up a .CA (Canada) domain name, click here.
Why .com? Many people want to live in exclusive neighborhoods in Beverly Hills, New York City, Paris, Singapore, or Hong Kong. That demand is what drives up the property values. On the Internet, everyone wants to live in the .com neighborhood. It's the exclusive 'top-level' domain (TLD) that says "I've been in this business a long time, I am a serious player, and I know what I'm doing." Domain names are the real estate of the Internet: your domain name is your "location, location, location." As Internet traffic grows literally exponentially every year, it is increasingly important to have an 'easy to remember' domain name in order to ensure that visitors and your valued customers can find and remember your web site, quickly and easily. As the Internet becomes more and more diluted with other TLDs, .com will remain the industry standard and first place people check when looking up an address.
When .com? It's never too late to make sure you'll be able to survive in this rapidly changing business world. As the traditional business model shifts to encompass the 'Net, indeed a truly revolutionary change, you're going to want to be able to capitalize on every aspect of this wonderful new way of doing business.
How .com? Take a look at the .com domain names we currently have to offer, for sale. To search for a specific word on our lists, use the 'Edit' option, then the 'Find in Page' / 'Find (on This Page)' (Ctrl+F) option (in your browser Navigation toolbar).
If you are interested in purchasing or leasing any of the titles listed (all offers of cash, equity, or future revenue participation will be considered), please contact us.
All prices / offers will be in US$.
Note: For easier recognition, the 'www.' has been removed, 'upper case' letters are being used, and 'apostrophes' are being used (e.g. "Don'tStopTheMusic.com" is actually "www.dontstopthemusic.com").
